Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled School Psychologist to join our team near Manchester, NH. As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting student mental health and academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Assessments: Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments to identify students' learning needs, behavioral issues, and emotional concerns.
  • Counseling and Support: Provide individual and group counseling to students facing academic, emotional, or social challenges. Develop and implement intervention strategies to support students' well-being and academic success.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school administrators to address student needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans.
  • Crisis Intervention: Respond to psychological emergencies with a calm and effective approach. Provide immediate support and coordinate with relevant services to ensure students receive the necessary care.
  • Mental Health Education: Promote mental health awareness within the school community. Conduct workshops and training sessions for students, staff, and parents on topics related to mental health, stress management, and emotional resilience.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, counseling sessions, and progress reports. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding student privacy and documentation.
  • Program Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide mental health programs and initiatives. Evaluate the effectiveness of these programs and make recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
  • Education: Valid School Psychologist certification in the state of New Hampshire is required. A Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field is essential.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a School Psychologist or in a similar role within an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle complex psychological situations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Approach: A student-centered approach with a focus on promoting mental health and fostering a supportive and inclusive school environment.
