We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our interdisciplinary team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The successful candidate will work on developing and applying novel statistical methods in our microbiome research program.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement high-dimensional statistical methods and scalable computational algorithms for analyzing large datasets.
- Collaborate with a team of researchers to advance our understanding of microbial associations with patient outcomes, medications, and multi-omics.
- Design and implement accessible software packages for our clinical microbiome database.
- Work closely with physician-scientists, computational biologists, and wet-lab research technicians to foster mutual support and collaboration.
- Doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistics, computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Experience in high-dimensional data, compositional data, longitudinal/survival data, and mixture modeling.
- Experience in high-performance computing systems and/or statistical software development.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
