The Quality Assurance Manager will deliver technical guidance to the silicone coating production line, addressing quality-related challenges and providing support for new product introductions. This role includes overseeing quality technicians and ensuring adherence to the corporate ISO standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers regarding product specifications, quality trends, evaluations, and any complaints.
- Coordinate technical inquiries related to product functionality, design, and quality with designated silicone clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather and disseminate technical information.
- Facilitate the development of silicone-coated products tailored for specific customer needs.
- Propose and execute innovative product concepts through the design and execution of manufacturing trials.
- Translate established customer quality criteria into production-relevant parameters and testing protocols.
- Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with customer requirements consistently.
- Support the Sales team in promoting and marketing raw materials, substrates, and coated products.
- Assess customer needs alongside Sales to identify suitable product offerings.
- Act as a communication bridge for customer requirements within the organization.
- Issue and manage Non-conformance reports effectively.
- Coordinate investigations related to customer quality claims.
- Serve as the liaison between the organization and customers regarding quality issues and performance expectations.
- Communicate findings, resolutions, and corrective actions to customers promptly.
- Evaluate the cost implications of requested changes from customers.
- Attend industry trade shows to stay informed about market trends and developments.
- Establish and uphold quality objectives that align with corporate policies and goals.
- Maintain ISO standards, lead ISO audits, and oversee customer audits.
- Interpret quality philosophies to key personnel within the organization.
- Develop and implement standards and methodologies for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
- Plan and supervise the analysis, inspection, design, testing, and integration processes to ensure product quality.
- Conduct quality engineering reviews of design documentation to ensure compliance with specified requirements.
- Utilize statistical process control (SPC) methods to analyze data and assess current processes and changes.
- Review all data collected during quality control and assurance activities to ensure alignment with company policies.
- Innovate solutions to problems identified during quality assessments.
- Keep management informed of significant issues or developments arising from quality activities and the actions taken to address them.
- Prepare and present technical and programmatic information to the management team.
- Direct personnel involved in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of government and industry quality codes and standards.
- Actively participate in quality management teams within the organization.
- Design and implement quality training programs for key personnel in collaboration with management.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to quality.
- Ensure proper processing of Certificates of Analysis (COA) and Certificates of Compliance (COC) to meet customer requirements.
- Oversee safety meetings to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
