About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist 3 to join our team at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining aseptic technique and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgical team, ensuring a smooth and efficient operating room experience.
  • Support the leadership team and demonstrate leadership abilities, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Recognize and report safety hazards, taking proactive steps to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in departmental goals, educational programs, and quality improvement initiatives, staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and best practices.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred.
  • 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, with certification via NBSTSA or NCCT.
  • BLS certification via AHA required; Surgical Technologist registration via Commonwealth of Virginia at time of hire.
