Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Buyer for our Heart Failure Division in Pleasanton, CA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for purchasing raw materials, sub-assemblies, products, and services while ensuring quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchasing and Vendor Management: Identify, research, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet our standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.
  • Negotiations and Contract Management: Negotiate and manage long-term contracts with vendors, securing favorable business partnerships, including quality, availability, and cost.
  • Delivery Planning and Inventory Optimization: Plan and schedule deliveries to optimize inventories, supporting production schedules and business demands by collaborating with forecasting data teams, planning teams, commodity teams, and shipping/receiving teams.
  • Vendor Communication and Quality Improvement: Review purchase requisitions, confer with vendors, and review quotes for accuracy, competitive strategies, and quality.
  • Process Implementation and Continuous Improvement: Implement process and procedure best practices by partnering with other functional leadership and related product lines.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in purchasing/commodity management, with 3+ years working with purchasing/commodity mgt. software.
  • Skills: Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment, with strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

  • Competitive Salary: $83,600.00 – $167,200.00 (base pay) per year.
