Backhaul Driver Opportunity

US Foods is seeking a skilled Backhaul Driver to join our team. As a Backhaul Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods to vendors and company drop-off sites
  • Verify freight on truck, required trailer temperatures, and accuracy of freight with vendors
  • Return tractor and trailer to division when route is completed
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
  • Willingness to travel 2-3 times per week required
  • Must be able to read and communicate in the English language
