Job Title: Logistics Solutions Engineer

Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing, L.P. is seeking a skilled Logistics Solutions Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Logistics organization, you will analyze the supply chain, transportation, and distribution network to develop recommendations for reducing freight costs, creating material efficiencies, and improving on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze logistics operations and build decision support systems
  • Develop optimizations scenarios and strategies that are aligned with objectives
  • Conduct research as needed to respond to customer requests
  • Provide suggestions and implement plans to improve business processes
  • Identify value-creation opportunities for the company
  • Develop and implement solutions using existing technology and infrastructure as well as complex solutions using the latest technologies
Requirements:
  • Experience or specialization within supply chain / operations research
  • Ability to use design applications, tools, techniques, and methodologies to analyze and design complex transportation and warehousing networks
  • Familiarity in simulation tools, transportation & warehouse management systems, ERPs, Automation, MHE, Visibility Tools, and industry leading technologies
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint – Access a plus and various database applications
  • Data organization and purification skills
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy and compliance oriented
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and creative problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Priority setting – capable of managing multiple inputs and directions to deliver the desired results
  • Solid collaboration abilities; professional and diplomatic team builder
  • Results orientated, dedication to excellence and sense of urgency to achieve business objectives
  • Ability to apply good judgement and decision making skills and strong work ethics and integrity on the job
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects, with various teams including engineers and supply chain personnel
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering
  • 0 – 2 years preferably within a large volume durable consumer goods industry
