About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our facilities team at Northfield Mount Hermon. As a Carpenter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the maintenance and functionality of our school environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a variety of carpentry projects for both commercial and residential settings
  • Review and execute carpentry tasks with the highest level of quality
  • Address building maintenance issues and support other trades as needed
  • Ensure all work is completed and the workspace is prepared for the following day
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in building, renovating, and planning projects
  • Residential and commercial building skills
  • Rough carpentry, finish carpentry, and roofing experience
  • Ability to read construction blueprints
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools
  • Familiarity or willingness to learn shop machinery
  • Ability to move a minimum of 80 pounds and perform repetitive movements
  • Ability to work at heights over 25 feet
  • High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of the International Building Code
  • Ability to create plans using software tools
