Job Summary

We are seeking an Electronics Engineer to join our team at Air Education and Training Command. As an advanced trainee, you will receive on-the-job training and complete developmental assignments and training outlines in our formal training and development plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform developmental work assignments, following instructions from supervisors or higher-graded engineers to develop knowledge and skill in applying engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Carry out specific, routine tasks in collecting and compiling program data to identify requirements for cryptographic software and hardware.
  • Assist higher-graded specialists in developing portions of engineering systems support projects or studies, and evaluating specific portions of plans or operations to identify needed changes or adjustments.
  • Exchange routine factual information with senior specialists and interested parties.
  • Perform recurring work assignments, including routine duties designed to develop knowledge and skill in electronics engineering and system evaluation methods and techniques.
  • Assist in collecting and compiling program data in support of cryptographic product and systems acquisition and maintenance.
  • Conduct research as directed to assist project teams providing technical guidance, advisory support, and assistance on entire projects and/or major phases for broad and varied operations.
  • Draft written correspondence and other documentation in support of meetings, conferences, briefings, and seminars related to cryptographic products and systems support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET.
  • Knowledge and understanding of agency, AF, Department of Defense (DoD) and national-level doctrine, regulations, policies, guidelines, requirements, and initiatives related to assigned program(s) and/or project(s).
  • Knowledge of security procedures to maintain control of classified material.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, to produce highly technical reports, position papers, and briefings.
