Pediatric Occupational Therapist Opportunity at Soar Autism Center

At Soar Autism Center, we are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team in Mesa, Arizona. This is an exciting opportunity to work with young children with autism and their families, providing comprehensive occupational therapy services.

Role Overview:

  • We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist to design and execute naturalistic occupational therapy for children aged 2-6 years in a center-based environment.
  • As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will develop targeted interventions to enhance clients' gross motor, fine motor skills, feeding abilities, and performance in other daily activities.
  • You will conduct comprehensive multidisciplinary assessments and formulate treatment plans in collaboration with other clinical domains (ABA, speech therapy, psychology), including conducting co-treatments with the speech therapy team.
  • Key responsibilities include coaching and mentoring a team of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), guiding them in integrating OT goals into their therapy sessions and supporting their professional development.
  • You will regularly monitor client progress, revising treatment plans and objectives as needed, and ensuring effective communication with team members and families.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy with a focus on pediatrics or a similar field.
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience in working with children with autism or related developmental disorders.
  • A strong understanding of and commitment to early intervention and integrated care approaches.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a passion for supporting the growth and development of children with autism.
