About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at Blue Heron Health and Rehabilitation. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of life for our residents by providing assistance with daily functions of the Dietary Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and portion food items to maintain the highest quality of life for residents
  • Set up meal trays and deliver meals to residents
  • Assist with putting stock away on delivery days
  • Wash and store all pots, pans, dishes, and utensils, and sweep and mop floors
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure resident rights and privacy are protected
  • Ensure the dietary work areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner
Requirements
  • Understanding of safe dietary procedures and the geriatric community
  • Willingness to work for the best interest of the residents and facility
  • Ability to work as part of a team and partner with other departments
  • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
  • Some dietary experience preferred
