Tower Climber Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tower Climber to join our team at Strategic Direct Solutions in Syracuse, New York. This is a full-time, direct hire position with benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, erect, maintain, and repair antenna towers and accessories
  • Install equipment and accessories on towers, including antennas, amplifiers, and transmission lines
  • Inspect towers for damage and deterioration
  • Conduct visual inspections and use test equipment to identify and locate tower defects
  • Climb towers and ladders to reach work areas
  • Plan and coordinate work activities
  • Adhere to safety regulations
  • Operate specialized equipment and vehicles
Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Ability to climb ladders and towers
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
Preferred Skills:
  • Excellent physical strength and endurance
  • Knowledge of rigging and hoisting equipment
  • Good sense of balance
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to understand and follow safety regulations
