About the Role

Cleveland Clinic's Akron General Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. As a key member of our surgical care team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs, and educate patients and their families on post-discharge care.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • One year of current acute care RN experience, with consideration given to military RN experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • One year of Operating Room experience as a Registered Nurse.
