About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher Aide to join our team at New Story Schools. As a Special Education Teacher Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs, helping them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Support: Assist in providing individualized instruction and support to students with special needs, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • IEP Implementation: Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students, working closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive classroom environment.
  • Classroom Assistance: Support teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities, promoting a welcoming and inclusive learning environment.
  • Progress Monitoring: Assist in tracking and assessing student progress, providing feedback to teachers and staff to ensure student success.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive learning environment, advocating for the needs of students with disabilities.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or higher preferred).
  • Experience: Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
