HMC, a leading mechanical contractor based in Portland Oregon, seeks experienced Project Engineers to work on various construction projects across 11 western states. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing specific project scopes within assigned budgets.

About the Role:

This salaried position offers competitive compensation, with an estimated salary range of $65,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion while maintaining quality standards
  • Collaborate with field labor, designers, and suppliers to resolve engineering issues and ensure compliance with construction plans and specifications
  • Develop and monitor work packages, including labor and cost estimates
  • Maintain accurate records and documents using effective document control systems
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field, and/or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and intermediate skills in Bluebeam software
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing drawings, and LEAN construction principles
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to other regions
