- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Master of Divinity Degree or its equivalency from an accredited institution, certified by the Association of Professional Chaplains or cognate body with similar standards.
- 0-3 years of spiritual care experience in a related field.
- Minimum of one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education, accredited preferably through the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education or equivalent experience.
- Prefer endorsement and maintenance of endorsement by a religious community.
