Overview

E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Distribution Design Engineer to support our main electric utility client in Hawaii. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the senior engineer and report directly to the Distribution Supervising Engineer or Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Design and engineer overhead and/or underground electric distribution systems to meet client standards, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Evaluate proposed installation sites and verify Bill of Materials meet design and client requirements.
  • Utilize PLS-CADD, O-Calc, SPIDA-Calc, or Pole Foreman software to design distribution projects with neatness and a small margin for error.
  • Perform electrical design review meetings and provide minutes.
  • Interface with project management and designers during the design phase.
  • Communicate and coordinate project activities with the supervising engineer, client, and other stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
  • 0-6 years of experience working in distribution design or similar with utility or consulting engineering firm.
  • Experience with reading pole loading sheets and inputting information to O-Calc software.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
