Position Overview:


The Attorney Talent Acquisition Specialist is integral to the Attorney Talent Acquisition team, facilitating the recruitment and onboarding processes for various attorney roles, including summer associates, lateral hires, and alternative career track attorneys.

This role also encompasses additional recruitment initiatives as required, with flexibility to work extended hours during peak recruitment seasons.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Director of Attorney Talent Acquisition and the Law Student Talent Acquisition Manager throughout the recruitment lifecycle for summer associates, lateral attorneys, and alternative track candidates.
  • Assist in the on-campus recruitment process by preparing necessary materials, scheduling interviews, following up with attorneys, and ensuring effective communication with candidates.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Summer Associate Program, which includes coordinating training sessions, sourcing work assignments, compiling evaluations, organizing social events, and other related tasks.
  • Manage interview schedules, whether in-person or virtual, and collect feedback on potential candidates.
  • Help draft and update job postings; review and process resumes in the applicant tracking system, generating reports as needed.
  • Maintain and update applicant databases with pertinent information and prepare offer letters.
  • Engage effectively with candidates and legal search firms, providing necessary correspondence and submitting background check requests.
  • Collaborate with law school career services to enhance networking opportunities and outreach to law students.
  • Coordinate national summer associate and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programming and events, including on-campus recruitment and career fairs.
  • Draft surveys for the summer program and assist with special projects in collaboration with the DEI team.
  • Support other departmental activities as required and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of three to five years of recruitment experience within a mid-to-large law firm environment.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional computer skills with a quick aptitude for learning new software applications.
  • Experience with Workday Recruiting (Applicant Tracking System) is advantageous.
