Job Summary

The Home Health Aide provides essential support to patients in their homes, ensuring their comfort and ability to remain in their personal residence. This role requires a deep understanding of home health aide standards of care, including specific observations, documentation, and reporting to professional nurses or therapists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care, adhering to OBRA '89 guidelines and Medicare Certified Home Health agency standards.
  • Conduct thorough observations, document findings, and report to professional nurses or therapists as required.
  • Maintain basic computer knowledge and skills to effectively communicate with healthcare teams.
Requirements
  • California State Home Health Aide Certificate, demonstrating completion of 120 hours of home health aide training.
  • Ability to pass a competency test, demonstrating compliance and knowledge of patient care areas as prescribed by OBRA '89 or documentation of competency testing from another Medicare Certified Home Health agency or Hospice.
  • Current BLS CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Valid California driver's license and current auto insurance.
