Cleveland Clinic's Digestive Disease & Surgery Institute (DDSI) is a leading center for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders. As a nurse in our Complex Abdominal Surgeries department, you will be part of a team that provides world-class care for patients undergoing complex procedures such as Total Abdominal Reconstruction, Whipple, HIPEC, and more. Our unique patient population allows our nursing caregivers to continually widen their knowledge base and prepare for any combination of conditions that present in a patient.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
  • Implements and monitors patient care plans, ensuring the highest level of care and patient satisfaction.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate, working closely with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care.
  • Evaluates, updates, and revises plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
  • Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, ensuring that all aspects of patient care are met.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing, with a BSN preferred.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire.
  • Minimum one year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting required for acute care settings.
