Fifth Grade Teacher

KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools is a network of public charter schools dedicated to providing a high-quality education to students in the North and West sides of Jacksonville, Florida. As a lead teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of our students and contributing to our mission of creating a future without limits.
As a fifth-grade teacher at KIPP Impact Academy, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment, implementing curriculum, assessing student progress, and collaborating with your team to ensure student success. With a class size of approximately 26 students, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of your students.
The role requires a bachelor's degree and relevant Florida teaching certification or eligibility for certification in one of the following areas: Elementary Education K-6 for positions in grades 5th or Math, Science, English, or Social Studies 5-9 for a specific subject area in grades 5. Additionally, you should have at least one complete year of teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom.
As a lead teacher, you will also be responsible for participating in weekly professional development and content team meetings, which will provide you with opportunities to grow and develop your teaching skills.
The salary for this role is $50,000, with additional benefits including free individual health benefits, free individual short-term and long-term disability insurance, and a 403(b) retirement program with a company match. You will also have the opportunity to earn additional stipends through our instructional stipend program.
