Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Amcor plc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including extruders, flexographic printing presses, and bag making machines.
  • Conduct data and root cause analysis to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Collaborate with OEM technicians to resolve complex equipment problems.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior maintenance staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • AS or BS in Industrial Maintenance, Electronics, or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong technical skills and ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical prints.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with colleagues and management.
Working Conditions

This role requires occasional sitting, standing, walking, and climbing, as well as the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. You must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
