The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical procedures in the CT department, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Procedures:
- Perform CT scans on patients, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Adjust technique to ensure optimal image quality and minimize radiation exposure.
- Operate CT equipment, including scanners and consoles, to produce high-quality images.
- Position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
Patient Care:
- Verify patient information and medical history before each procedure.
- Obtain informed consent from patients before performing procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
- Respond to emergency situations, providing critical care as needed.
Quality Control:
- Perform routine quality control tests on CT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Review images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Education and Training:
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Current certification in radiography and computed tomography (CT) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
