Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled CDL driver to join our team at H&S Bakery Inc. As a local CDL driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and products on assigned local routes, ensuring on-time and accurate delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Commercial Vehicles Safely: Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic rules and regulations.
  • Transport Goods and Products: Transport goods and products on assigned local routes, ensuring on-time and accurate delivery.
  • Perform Routine Checks and Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance on the assigned vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Assist with Loading and Unloading: Assist with the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper handling and secure transportation.
  • Complete Paperwork: Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and other documentation as required.
  • Interact with Customers: Interact professionally with customers and clients, providing excellent customer service during deliveries.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Maintain effective communication with dispatch, providing updates on delivery status and any issues encountered on the route.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including but not limited to transportation, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL License: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
  • Clean Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience as a commercial driver is preferred.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions
  • No Overnight Trips: No overnight trips. Drivers will return home at the end of each workday.
  • Flexible Scheduling: May require some weekend or evening shifts based on business needs.
