Job Responsibilities:
This role encompasses the upkeep, servicing, and repair of machinery to guarantee the efficient operation of production equipment and electrical systems. You will be responsible for:
- Reading, interpreting, and comprehending equipment manuals, preventive maintenance (PM) task sheets, and safety protocols.
- Performing equipment adjustments, repairs, preventive maintenance, and managing emergency breakdowns.
- Executing specific tasks during both production and non-production hours while adhering to OSHA Lockout/Tagout and company safety regulations.
- Monitoring equipment performance and reporting potential issues to maintenance and production supervisors.
- Maintaining logbooks and applying mathematical skills to calibrate machinery to performance standards.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: 0-2 years
Skills: Proficiency in reading, writing, and analytical tasks. Must possess personal tools and the ability to learn and operate hand tools and industrial shop equipment.
Environmental and Physical Requirements:
This active position is primarily situated on the plant floor, involving tasks such as troubleshooting and redesigning existing systems. Occasionally, moving equipment and accessing files, supplies, and equipment is necessary. The role requires the ability to navigate throughout the complex and all facilities.
Plant Environment: Exposure to wet and moist floors, including metal and plastic grating surfaces. Temperature ranges from 28°F to 100°F with both ambient and 100% humidity conditions. Handling products in temperature ranges from 25°F to 50°F. Noise levels ranging from 50 dB to 110 dB. Exposure to chemicals used in poultry and food processing facilities. Use of protective and safety equipment as required for the job is mandatory.
