Key Responsibilities

The Radiologic Technologist will:

  • Utilize advanced medical imaging equipment to capture detailed images of anatomical structures including tissues, organs, and bones.
  • Specialize in various radiology disciplines such as MRI, sonography, mammography, CT, nuclear medicine, and radiation therapy.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any inquiries.
  • Prepare and sanitize imaging equipment and examination areas in compliance with health regulations.
  • Position patients accurately for imaging procedures.
  • Monitor patients throughout the imaging process to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Generate high-quality diagnostic images for physician review.
  • Employ radiation protection measures for patient safety.
  • Adjust imaging equipment settings to achieve optimal image quality.
  • Maintain patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist in the procurement of radiology equipment as needed.
  • Ensure patients are appropriately prepared for imaging procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians to understand imaging requirements.
  • Provide clear communication to patients regarding their procedures.
Performance Metrics

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • The clarity and accuracy of images produced.
  • Effective communication with both patients and medical staff.
  • Compliance with regulatory standards and absence of complaints.
  • Demonstration of professionalism and empathy towards patients.
Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

  • An Associate's Degree in Radiography from an accredited institution.
  • A valid Radiologic Technologist license.
  • A current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred: Two years of relevant experience.
