The Radiologic Technologist will:
- Utilize advanced medical imaging equipment to capture detailed images of anatomical structures including tissues, organs, and bones.
- Specialize in various radiology disciplines such as MRI, sonography, mammography, CT, nuclear medicine, and radiation therapy.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any inquiries.
- Prepare and sanitize imaging equipment and examination areas in compliance with health regulations.
- Position patients accurately for imaging procedures.
- Monitor patients throughout the imaging process to ensure safety and comfort.
- Generate high-quality diagnostic images for physician review.
- Employ radiation protection measures for patient safety.
- Adjust imaging equipment settings to achieve optimal image quality.
- Maintain patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in the procurement of radiology equipment as needed.
- Ensure patients are appropriately prepared for imaging procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians to understand imaging requirements.
- Provide clear communication to patients regarding their procedures.
Success in this role will be measured by:
- The clarity and accuracy of images produced.
- Effective communication with both patients and medical staff.
- Compliance with regulatory standards and absence of complaints.
- Demonstration of professionalism and empathy towards patients.
Applicants must possess:
- An Associate's Degree in Radiography from an accredited institution.
- A valid Radiologic Technologist license.
- A current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Preferred: Two years of relevant experience.
Note: As a Tribal Organization, we require proof of immunizations prior to employment. This includes, but is not limited to, MMR, Hepatitis B, PPD testing, Tdap, Varicella, Influenza, and COVID-19 vaccinations.
