Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Aide to join our surgical materials team at Methodist Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist operating room personnel in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patient care.
  • Manage supply inventory in Case Cart and OR Core areas, ensuring timely restocking and organization.
  • Collaborate with OR Materials staff, OR staff, and surgeons to maintain a collaborative and service-oriented relationship.
  • Perform tasks to supply the OR with necessary equipment and supplies for cases.
Requirements:
  • 6 months of patient care experience required.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Demonstrated understanding of principles of sterile processing and materials handling.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
Preferred Qualifications:

High School Graduate preferred. Surgical materials handling preferred.
