Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficient in data entry using computer applications (e.g., Excel)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Able to pass drug screening and background checks
  • Strong communication skills, as the role involves client interaction

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in construction or concrete-related fields

Daily Responsibilities:

Insight Global is seeking Materials Engineering Technicians to support a prominent engineering consulting firm in Angleton, TX. The selected candidates will be responsible for conducting regular assessments, observations, and inspections of construction activities. They will liaise with project managers, fellow engineering technicians, and clients regarding site conditions and project specifications.

Daily tasks will include visiting the office for briefings, traveling to job sites to fulfill client requirements, reporting testing outcomes to project managers, and coordinating with dispatch for subsequent assignments. Technicians may work on a single project site or rotate between multiple sites within a 1-2 hour radius of Angleton, with company vehicles provided for travel and compensated time for commutes.

Key duties will involve monitoring soil and fill placements, working with concrete samples, and conducting tests on concrete during placement. Technicians will also be responsible for transporting material samples for laboratory analysis and completing necessary data entry. At the end of each workday, a digital report summarizing findings will be required. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication abilities, maintain equipment cleanliness, and adhere to stringent safety protocols. A valid driver's license with minimal infractions is mandatory, as candidates will be driving company vehicles to various locations.
