Position Overview:

The Physical Therapist Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering therapeutic services to patients in an outpatient rehabilitation setting. This position involves working closely with licensed Physical Therapists to implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care: Execute prescribed exercise regimens and treatment protocols for patients, ensuring adherence to the standards set by the supervising Physical Therapist.

2. Collaboration: Work in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate therapy activities and facilitate patient progress towards rehabilitation goals.

3. Training and Education: Participate in the training of medical and nursing staff on physical therapy methodologies and objectives, promoting best practices in patient care.

4. Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records, documenting treatment provided and patient responses to therapy, in compliance with professional standards.

5. Safety Compliance: Utilize safe patient handling techniques during transfers and positioning, adhering to all regulatory guidelines and organizational policies.

Physical Requirements:

This role may involve:
- Occasional standing, walking, and sitting

Qualifications:

- Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting or related field
- Valid Physical Therapist Assistant license
- Basic Life Support certification
