Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Circulator to join our team at Peachtree Orthopedic Surgery Center at Perimeter. As a Circulator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical procedures, working closely with our surgical team to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Assist the surgical team in preparing the operating room for procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Monitor patients' charts and report any changes in their condition to the surgical team.
- Collaborate with the scrub nurse to ensure seamless surgical operations.
- Position patients, prepare the operative area, and adjust the table to ensure optimal positioning.
- Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments to prevent loss.
- Identify physical symptoms and changes, taking prompt and appropriate action to ensure timely care.
- Coordinate patient care with the staff in the preoperative area and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current professional nursing license in the State of Georgia.
- Certification in CPR and ACLS is mandatory.
- Previous experience as an OR Circulator is required.
- Preferred experience in Ambulatory Care and Orthopedics.
