Job Summary:

At Mahaska Health, we are seeking a skilled Resource Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our Inpatient Services/Critical Care Unit, Birthing Center Services, and Emergency Services departments, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled nursing care to assigned patients, including assessment, documentation, and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient education and activities, ensuring seamless care delivery.
  • Assume the role of clinical resource person, providing guidance and support to colleagues as needed.
  • Participate in mentoring and orientation of new personnel to the unit, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Utilize documentation methods as approved by Mahaska Health Partnership, ensuring accurate and timely communication of patient information.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa.
  • Must be fully trained in Inpatient Services/Critical Care Unit, Birthing Center Services, and Emergency Services departments.
  • Required to be certified in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within one year of hire.
  • Current in BLS (Basic Life Support) by the standards of the American Heart Association.
