Job Responsibilities: As an Inpatient Pharmacy Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients within our hospital setting. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to optimize medication use, ensure safe and effective drug therapy management, and improve patient outcomes.
Requirements:This role requires a valid and current license to practice pharmacy in New York State and previous experience as a pharmacist in a hospital or psychiatric setting. You must also have excellent leadership skills and be able to supervise pharmacy aides.
- Collect, analyze, and report medication therapy data to improve patient safety and enhance care outcomes
- Maintain accurate dispensing, distribution, and inventory records to ensure efficient operations in the pharmacy
- Participate in services such as Drug Utilization Reviews (DUR), pharmacotherapy consults, anticoagulation management, and wellness programs
