Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at VDart Inc in Hartford, CT.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

This is a contract position that requires 100% onsite work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform technical analysis of system issues and outages as they occur across customer enterprise networks
  • Conduct research to resolve issues or collaborate with higher-level systems administrators and network engineers
  • Rack and stack network devices, switches, routers, and firewalls at customer data centers and MDF/IDF closets
  • Implement DNS changes in Infoblox and F5 load balancers
  • Proactively address alerts from network switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and internet links, resolving issues before impact
  • Establish physical connectivity for new devices and ensure they are added to the network and accessible
  • Respond timely to incidents, outages, and performance alerts
  • Identify and prioritize incidents based on customer business requirements, policies, and operational impact
  • Analyze performance reports for various systems and report trends in hardware and application performance to senior technical personnel to predict future issues or outages
  • Supervise a wide range of information and network systems, including telecommunications circuits, LAN/WAN systems, routers, switches, firewalls, VoIP systems, servers, storage, backup, operating systems, and core applications
  • Document all actions according to standard company policies and procedures
  • Inform customers and third-party service providers of issues, outages, and remediation status
  • Collaborate with internal and external technical teams to develop and update knowledge base articles
  • Perform basic systems testing and operational tasks (patch installation, network connectivity testing, script execution, etc.)
  • Support multiple technical teams in high-uptime environments
Position Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 8 years of work experience
  • Required certification: Network Analyst certified
