We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at Kei-Ai South Bay Healthcare Center. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and services to our residents.
Job Summary:The LVN will be responsible for observing, reporting, and documenting patient conditions, administering medications, and maintaining accurate records. You will also be responsible for setting up treatment trays, preparing instruments, and ensuring that all necessary equipment is available for treatments.
Responsibilities:- Observe and report on patient conditions, including vital signs and any changes in status
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and maintain accurate records
- Set up treatment trays and prepare instruments for treatments
- Maintain working knowledge of assigned patient's conditions at all times
- Review reports from previous shifts to determine changes in status of residents and assign duties to C.N.A.'s or other nursing personnel
- Turn over accurate records and ensure oncoming shift nurses are updated
- Notify Director of Nursing Services (DNS) and/or Administrator of changes in patient condition or other job-related problems
- Currently registered and licensed in good standing with the State Board of Nursing
- 2+ years' experience in long-term care preferred
- CPR and First Aid certified
- Outstanding communication skills
- Positive, professional, and calm demeanor in all work-related situations
