Project Surveyor

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee the professional supervision and management of survey and survey mapping projects to achieve profitability, safety, quality, and operations.
  • Prepare estimates of survey needs and projects.
  • Conduct boundary, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, and topographic surveys in support of engineering projects.
  • Plan preparation and construction layout.
  • Schedule field crews and ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Establish strategies to expand the department within the market area.
  • Develop and maintain public and client relationships.
Requirements
  • Computer skills required: Office 365, Carlson Survey, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Hardware and Software.
  • Minimum years of relevant work experience: years.
  • Minimum years of management experience: 4-7 years.
  • Knowledge of modern survey methods and surveying devices, including total stations and GPS.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Preferred Attributes
  • NJPLS or ability to obtain, a plus.
  • Knowledge of MicroStation/OpenRoads is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Leica High-Definition Laser Scanning (HDLS) equipment is also preferred.
