Job Summary

As a key member of the CHRISTUS Health team, the Occupational Therapist - Pediatric Rehabilitation Specialist will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to pediatric patients. This position requires a skilled and compassionate professional who can assess, plan, and implement effective occupational therapy interventions to promote optimal development and function in children.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate pediatric patients to identify areas of need and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement and supervise occupational therapy interventions to promote physical, cognitive, and emotional development in children.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to educate and empower them to support their child's development and well-being.
  • Stay current with best practices and evidence-based research in pediatric occupational therapy to ensure the highest level of care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
  • Pediatric experience and knowledge of child development principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current Louisiana OT License and BLS Card required.
Work Environment

This position requires a full-time commitment to providing high-quality care to pediatric patients. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.
