Job Title: Travel Healthcare Technician

Join Infojini Healthcare as a Travel Healthcare Technician and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care in our Emergency Department.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to provide technical support and participate in unit activities as a team member. As a Travel Healthcare Technician, you will work under the direction of a qualified Registered Nurse to perform various patient care activities and related clerical functions that support the clinical operations of the Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform Phlebotomy, EKGs, patient transport, hygiene care, vitals, weights, pulse oximetry, and assist with procedures performed by the MD and RN.
  • Accurately input all Radiology, Laboratory, and EKG orders into the Meditech system in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain department filing systems, identify filing methods, and communicate to department personnel.
  • Manage departmental mail expeditiously, establish and maintain an inventory of departmental office supplies, and ensure staff has materials required to perform their responsibilities.
  • Complete bi-weekly supply orders, restock rooms on a daily basis with linen and supplies according to established levels, restock suture carts, and maintain a clean utility room in an orderly manner.
  • Accurately convey messages coming into the Department, place calls at MD and RN request, and identify self to callers in a courteous manner.
  • Ensure all visitors and telephone calls are handled in a courteous and friendly manner, keep visitors informed if there is a delay, and answer telephone timely and complete messages and forwards calls when necessary.
  • Transfer calls correctly introducing caller as instructed, and ensure all orders are entered into Meditech system as required accurately and timely.
Requirements:
  • AHA BLS Required
  • 1 year acute care experience in a hospital setting
  • High school diploma/GED. Medical Terminology Experience
