About the Institution:
The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health) is a prominent healthcare organization dedicated to delivering exceptional medical services and fostering advancements in medical research.
Position Responsibilities:
- Function: Engage as an active practitioner in outpatient care, holding certification from a board recognized by the American Board of Specialties.
- Commitment: Provide patient care in the clinic for nine half-day sessions weekly, allocating one half-day for administrative responsibilities.
- Participation: Offer evening and weekend on-call support, and attend essential meetings as directed by the Medical Director.
Essential Qualifications:
- Must possess an MD or DO degree.
- Requirement: Valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) renewed biennially.
- Prior experience in administrative roles is advantageous.
Compensation:
Salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
