Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Braillist II / Alternative Media Specialist to join our team at Sonoma County Office of Education. As an Alternative Media Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality alternative media services to support students with visual impairments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce high-quality braille and large print materials for students with visual impairments
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of braille codes and formats
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure accurate and timely delivery of alternative media materials
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in alternative media production

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in alternative media production or a related field
• Strong knowledge of braille codes and formats
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
