We are excited to welcome new perspectives and ideas that will help us maintain our high standards in a competitive global market.

We are currently looking for a full-time Mobile Calibration Technician with driving capabilities and a valid DOT medical certification. This multifaceted role involves operating and transporting specialized mobile calibration labs across various locations. The position offers the chance to travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Please note that this is not an over-the-road (OTR) position; it entails a standard workweek with competitive compensation.

Most travel will require overnight stays at designated locations, while some local assignments will allow for nightly returns home. When not traveling, work will be conducted locally. Accommodations will be arranged in advance at reputable hotels, and a generous daily per diem will be provided for overnight stays. Additionally, this role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in calibration as a technician trainee.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the assigned Mobile Calibration Lab to various customer sites, primarily within the Mid-Western region.
  • Oversee the management of testing equipment, including scheduling calibrations, tracking equipment service, and ensuring database accuracy.
  • Travel to client locations, process equipment, and generate necessary reports and certificates.
  • Collaborate with the Mobile On-site department to arrange calibration services, adapting to a frequently changing schedule.
  • Acquire fundamental calibration techniques and processes.
  • Develop the skills needed to perform calibrations independently.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and operational standards set by Trescal.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Valid DOT medical card.
  • Prior experience in a customer service role with administrative responsibilities.
  • Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight and out-of-state assignments (company vehicle provided).
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with inventory tracking systems.
  • Associate's degree, vocational certification, or military training in a technical or electronics field.
  • Previous experience managing equipment or inventory in a technical environment.
  • Commercial driving experience.
  • Familiarity with ISO 17025 standards.

Benefits:

At Trescal, we recognize that our employees are the cornerstone of our success. We offer more than just competitive health insurance plans; we provide a supportive work environment that promotes professional growth and development. Our benefits include:

  • Paid time off.
  • 401k plan.
  • Career development opportunities.
  • Referral bonuses.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including:
  • Dental and vision coverage.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Basic Life/AD&D Insurance.
  • Long-term and short-term disability insurance.
