We're looking for a compassionate and skilled LPN to join our team, where you'll have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As an LPN Clinic Nurse, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our medical team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients, adhering to infection control procedures and regulatory standards.
- Participate in clinic flow, assisting with patient arrival, preparation for examination, treatment, and procedures, and recording vital signs.
- Administer prescribed medication and vaccinations, maintaining accurate medication logs and disposal of expired medications.
- Document clinical tasks, testing, and procedures in patient medical records, navigating electronic medical records to obtain records and update patient information.
- Collect specimens for testing and transport, maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy of personal health information.
- Ensure patient safety, environmental, infection control, quality improvement, and regulatory standards, preparing safety reports and reporting safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
- Initiate patient and family education using appropriate resources and continuum of care services.
- Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana, as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
