Vermont Primary Care Physician Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (FNP, PMHNP or PA) to join our Outpatient Opioid Treatment Program in Rutland, Vermont.
Job SummaryThis is a 0.9 position with weekends and holidays off and no on-call requirements outside work hours. The successful candidate will provide healthcare services to patients by following established standards, procedures, and practices in their area of specialty under the direction of the Medical Director and/or physician.
About the PositionThe NP/PA will work under the supervision of the OTP Medical Director and will be responsible for:
- Obtaining detailed patient history and performing physical or psychological assessments
- Performing or ordering diagnostic procedures such as X-rays, electrocardiograms, laboratory tests, and interpreting results
- Administering therapeutic procedures including injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound care
- Assisting physicians during surgery or medical procedures
- Instructing patients on prescribed therapeutic regimens, home care, and health maintenance
- Evaluating outcomes of direct patient care and consulting with other specialists as required
- Maintaining required records and writing progress notes on patient charts regarding status, treatments, and procedures
- Providing preventative health care services to long-term patients and arranging consultations and referrals

We estimate a salary of $125,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a permanent full-time position with a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and more.
