The Department of Dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a talented and dedicated academic-minded dermatologist to join our full-time faculty at the rank of Instructor. We are looking for board-certified and board-eligible physicians with interests in general and complex dermatology, oncodermatology, dermatologic surgery, pediatric dermatology, and/or cosmetic dermatology.
Our Department
We serve a diverse, medically complex population within the greater Pittsburgh area, while also drawing patients from throughout Pennsylvania and the tri-state area. Our department is part of the expansive University of Pittsburgh/UPMC campus, which includes 40 hospitals, 800 outpatient clinical locations, and an international healthcare presence.
Our Services
We provide a wide range of services, including general dermatology, phototherapy, laser, Mohs micrographic surgery, and aesthetic services, as well as inpatient consultations. Our Dermatopathology unit is onsite in our Oakland campus, with four full-time dermatopathologists and two dermatopathology fellows. We also have a teledermatology program that provides synchronous and asynchronous care to patients throughout the state.
Research Opportunities
We have opportunities for clinical research and collaboration with clinical and basic science colleagues on campus available to those with an interest in research. The University of Pittsburgh is consistently ranked among the top 12 recipients of health research funding among U.S. universities and is a major recipient of research funding from the National Institutes of Health.
