Job Title: Antimicrobial Stewardship Specialist (Pharmacist)

We are seeking a highly skilled Antimicrobial Stewardship Specialist to join our team at HexaQuEST Health, Inc. in Zanesville, Ohio.

Job Summary:

The Antimicrobial Stewardship Specialist will play a critical role in coordinating and maintaining our antimicrobial stewardship program. This includes overseeing utilization audits of antimicrobial therapy, assisting in the development and maintenance of an antimicrobial formulary, and working with the infectious disease service and hospital medical staff to evaluate appropriate use of restricted antimicrobials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop guidelines, policies, and electronic health management solutions for antimicrobial use and streamlining prophylactic, empiric, and definitive antimicrobial therapy.
  • Review data and metrics on antimicrobial use and report to the infectious disease committee and P&T committee.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and promote education, training, and competency assessment and performance improvements of pharmacists in the appropriate use of antimicrobials.
  • Serve as a pharmacy consultant to the infectious disease committee and P&T committee.
Requirements:
  • Ohio Pharmacist license required.
  • Minimum 2 years of current or very recent experience in Antimicrobial Stewardship required.
  • Day shift, onsite position.
