Nurse Resident

The Lee's Summit Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Nurse Resident to join our team. As a Nurse Resident, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and knowledge in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in accordance with established nursing models and standards of practice.
- Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, documenting the administration of care in the patient medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitoring patient response and notifying providers as necessary.
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about patient medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of employment.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, to be completed by the selected start date.
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State, with the ability to start orientation pending all license requirements.
- No previous experience is necessary.
