Correctional Treatment Specialist

Join the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a Correctional Treatment Specialist and play a vital role in the rehabilitation of offenders. This position requires a strong understanding of correctional treatment principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:- Provide counseling and treatment services to offenders in a correctional setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each offender
- Collaborate with other treatment team members to ensure comprehensive care
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify offender needs and develop strategies for rehabilitation
- Provide education and training to offenders on topics such as substance abuse, anger management, and life skills
- Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent
- One year of full-time, wage-earning customer service, clerical, secretarial, administrative support, or technical program support experience
- Correctional treatment experience preferred
