Position Overview:

The Senior Psychiatric Consultant role encompasses delivering comprehensive psychiatric assessments and consultation services for individuals across all age demographics. This position necessitates independent operation as a subject matter expert and leading the clinical team in the absence of the clinical supervisor. The clinician will engage in various settings, including telehealth and in-person consultations. Effective collaboration with community resources and healthcare providers is essential to ensure optimal treatment pathways for each patient. Alongside evaluation and consultation, this role includes mentoring and overseeing clinicians and hospital personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for the provision of appropriate and minimally restrictive services for patients.
  • Provide guidance, training, and oversight to clinicians and hospital staff.
  • Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical standards and licensure regulations.
  • Promote teamwork and offer constructive feedback to colleagues on evidence-based methodologies.
  • Facilitate clinical supervision and engage in continuous professional development.
  • Uphold a safe environment and promptly address safety concerns.

Credentials:

  • Required Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
