Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and management of business, technical, and operations teams to ensure overall success of assigned product development programs.
  • Assume accountability for program planning, execution, and delivery, from customer proposal to program inception, through transition to production processing.
  • Measure program success by customer satisfaction, schedule milestones, and adherence to recurring and non-recurring cost targets.
  • Review and evaluate technical and business aspects of customer requests for proposals and change requests.
  • Support and lead elements of customer bid packages and internal project appropriation requests.
  • Create, monitor, and update program plans to define required processes and activities for various functional groups.
  • Lead and manage Integrated Product Teams (IPT) through effective utilization of personnel assigned to the project.
  • Coordinate in-house product reviews to ensure product designs are manufacturable and meet cost targets.
  • Develop and ensure adherence to standard processes and procedures throughout all phases of the program.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and operations team members to facilitate new product introduction and ensure program hardware delivery requirements meet customer and program needs.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers through frequent oral and written communication.
  • Proactively manage project scope to ensure only agreed-to deliverables are met.
  • Monitor and control program costs associated with non-recurring engineering activities.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed resource-loaded program schedule.
  • Identify, track, manage, and assist in resolving program issues and mitigating program risks.
  • Facilitate a complete and orderly transition of the product from engineering design and development to full-scale production.
  • Proactively disseminate project information to stakeholders by defining, collecting data for, and presenting program metrics.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Program Management or related project management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within electronics manufacturing, preferably in aerospace power systems.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Microsoft Project.
  • MBAPMP or systems management certification is preferred.
  • Experience in new engineering product development and related certification process is ideal.
