Master Plumber Technician

We are seeking an experienced Plumber Technician to join our team in Starkville, MS. The selected individual will assist in the installing and repair of water supply lines and drainage systems including construction of plumbing systems, installation and replacement of fixtures through use of plumber's hand tools and power tools, all in conformity to local building codes and regulations.

• Assemble and install plumbing systems including various components, styles of threading, and materials (brass, copper, plastic, lead, and glass).
• Troubleshoot and repair pipe and pipeline systems.
• Review, comprehend, and implement plans based on blueprints and building codes to determine optimal work procedures. These include proper and scaled orientations of components, use of correct materials, and proper implementation of procedures for both new installs and renovated systems: threading, caulking, wiping, soldering, brazening, fusing, cementing, and securing with clamps, brackets, and hangers.
• Maintain and repair septic and commercial sewer systems.
• Prepare written work cost estimates for clients.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Testing and gauging pressure for indications of leaks or blockages.
• Detection and response to problematic or dangerous conditions and situations.

• Previous experience in plumbing, maintenance, or other related field.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
