Job Summary

Cottesmore Child Care is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Education Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting the educational and social development of young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure a smooth and engaging learning environment
  • Implement activities and lesson plans based on knowledge of child development and educational best practices
  • Assist with daily routines, including mealtime, toileting, and hand washing
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss program planning, goal setting, and implementation
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks and other duties as assigned by the Administrator/Director
Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children under the age of 5
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Child Care Basics (30 hours STARS) training
  • Must be willing to obtain and maintain Basic First Aid, Infant/Child CPR/First Aid certification
  • HIV/Blood Borne Pathogens Training
  • Food Handlers Permit or be willing to obtain
  • TB Test
  • Must clear a full background check
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
